Iowa Yahoo eGroup for Reiki
Practitioners
This egroup
is a community for Reiki practitioners to share ideas, information and provide support. Participation in the group is
FREE.
Below are some tips that will help make your experience in the group an enjoyable and productive one
by taking advantage of some of the group features:
================================================================= Subscribing to the Group & Inviting Other Practitioners =================================================================
There are two ways to subscribe to the group: By email or on the web.
Subscription by email will put you
on the list to receive the Reiki messages. To subscribe, send an email to IowaReikiGroup-subscribe@yahoogroups.com You can also subscribe on the web. This will also give you access to message archives at the
group website.
To subscribe on the web, you need to get a free Yahoo ID, sign in, and subscribe. To subscribe,
go to the home page: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/IowaReikiGroup
Click
on "Subscribe" and follow the instructions.
If you do not already have a Yahoo ID, click on "Click
here to register for FREE!". If you do have a Yahoo ID, enter your Yahoo ID and password, to sign in. If you are already
an email only user of Yahoo Groups and you want access to the web features, first register for a free Yahoo ID, then click
on "Account Wizard" to associate your email Yahoo Groups subscriptions with your Yahoo ID. Then sign in with your
Yahoo ID to access all group features.
=========================================================== - Accessing Group Archived Messages ===========================================================
Archived messages are only available to group members who sign in at the website.
Go to the home page:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/IowaReikiGroup/ If it says "Welcome, guest"
in the upper left hand corner, you will need to sign in with your Yahoo Id. If you don't have a Yahoo ID, you can register
for a free one and use the Account Wizard to associate your group subscriptions with your Yahoo ID.
Once you are
signed in, go to the home page, and click on "Messages" to see a list of archived messages. Click on a message to
read it.
We encourage members to search the archived posts when looking for information on a specific topic -
this will help cut down on repetitive posts and questions while respecting the very valuable time that our moderators,
medical professionals, leaders and others volunteer to the group.

=========================================================== - Changing Delivery Options =========================================================== When you first subscribe to the group, posts/emails will be delivered individually to your online mailbox and will contain
the "IowaReikiGroup" address. If you find that individual
emails are too numerous, there are several delivery options you may choose; You can change your delivery options by sending
an email:
The Daily Digest contains all the individual messages in one convenient email rather than individual
emails. As our group is very active, this option will keep your mail box from being overloaded. To get message
digests instead of individual messages, send email to: IowaReikiGroup-digest@yahoogroups.com To get individual messages instead of digests, send email to: IowaReikiGroup-normal@yahoogroups.com To stop receiving messages via email (you may still read messages on the
Web), send an email to: IowaReikiGroup-nomail@yahoogroups.com
The no mail option is particularly useful if you're
going on vacation and want to "turn off" the messages for a while. Then use the digest or normal option outlined
above to start receiving emails again. This prevents having to go through the unsubscribe and re-subscribe process.
You can also change your delivery options from the website:
Go to the YahooGroups "MyGroups" page:
http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups
If it says "Welcome, guest" in the upper left hand corner, you will need to "sign
in" with your Yahoo ID. If you don't have a Yahoo ID, click on "Account Wizard" and follow the instructions to
create a new Yahoo ID (free) and to associate this Yahoo ID with your current YahooGroups subscription(s).
Once you're signed in, go to the "MyGroups" page again, which will list the YahooGroups that you
are currently subscribed to. Click on "Edit Delivery Options" and change the delivery method to be what
you want, for example "Individual Emails".
=========================================================== - ATTACHMENTS =========================================================== To put attachments on the group – you must first go to the home page:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/IowaReikiGroup/ If it says "Welcome, guest" in the upper left hand corner, you will need to sign
in with your Yahoo Id. If you don't have a Yahoo ID, you can register for a free one and use the Account Wizard to associate
your group subscriptions with your Yahoo ID.
Once you are signed in, go to the home page, and click on "Files".
Then you click on “Add File”. Then follow the instructions and check the box that says: “Send
a message to the group announcing this file”
Or you can send a
attachment to me and I’ll put it on the group. =========================================================== -
